About

As a leader in whole person care, Providence is committed to improving the care delivery system to support the physical, mental and spiritual health of our patients, caregivers and communities.

The Providence Behavioral Health Leadership Council convenes clinical and administrative leaders across our 51 hospitals and 1,085 clinics in 7 states to develop care standards, scale best practices and spread innovation. Our priority is to lead the way in improving our nation’s health by reducing stigma, expanding timely access, and improving quality mental health and substance use care for our people, our patients and our communities, particularly the most vulnerable among us. Our aspiration is optimal mental health & wellness for all, and a world where no one dies alone and in despair by suicide or drug overdose.

About Providence
At Providence, we use our voice to advocate for vulnerable populations and needed reforms in health care. We are also pursuing innovative ways to transform health care by keeping people healthy, and making our services more convenient, accessible and affordable for all. In an increasingly uncertain world, we are committed to high-quality, compassionate health care for everyone – regardless of coverage or ability to pay. We help people and communities benefit from the best health care model for the future – today.

About Well Being Trust
Well Being Trust is a national foundation dedicated to advancing a vision of a nation where everyone is well in mental, social and spiritual health.

Launched by Providence St. Joseph Health in 2016 as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity with an initial seed endowment of $100 million plus an additional $30 million to be invested in California from 2017 to 2019, Well Being Trust is now investing in approaches that have the potential to model the way forward. Well Being Trust was created to advance clinical, community and cultural change to transform the health of the nation and improve well-being for everyone.

We recognize that this work cannot have the needed impact if it is driven by any one organization. It needs to be co-owned by all of us and informed by the wisdom of people, organizations, and communities. With partners and grantees, we are supporting and encouraging a powerful movement that benefits everyone.
